Breakaway Humanity

In biology, all species eventually branch out into new species.

It’s just the nature of the game.

So, who would deny that humans are on a precipice, about to branch off into breakaway civilization(s)?

The thing about space is that it transforms biology, so you might want to make yourself comfortable with the concept that your great grandchildren will become gray aliens, with expanded brains but weakened bodies due to the lack of gravity.

We are blasting off space ships, yet no one has hacked the way to produce artificial gravity in a vacuum.

Yet.

I am here to stay, and gravity suits me just fine, thanks.

Do you take the red pill or the blue pill?

The correct answer is “why are you demanding me to make a choice?’

Yeah, y’all can go to Mars.

I will stay right here on earth, and hey, perhaps we can resurrect Atlantis.

If utopia isn’t possible on earth, maybe it isn’t possible anywhere else, either.

Make it count, is all I am saying.

Make this life the best effort you can muster, because your children, and our children's children will atone for all of our egregious discrepancies.
